• Review of "Moose Creek Cabins" at West Yellowstone

  The cabins are an overpriced gimmick. They're on busy rt 20 in the middle of the city. They don't have modern a/c... instead they have one noisy interior a/c unit with exhaust vented outside. We slept with the windows open because the a/c was so loud, but the cabins are so close together and next to a fence to a different motel's parking lot that no breeze would come through. It was low 40s out, and at 3am, the bedroom was still +70°. This is hardly a two bedroom cabin. Instead, it is a two room cabin, with a walkthrough bedroom (with no a/c at all) to get to the bathroom. There are zero closets in the whole cabin. They don't have cots, so you're stuck with the two full (?) sized beds. The kitchenette has a small microwave, dorm fridge/freezer, and coffee maker, but it does not have any plates, utensils, etc. Just a few plastic, disposable cups. There's a high top table with 4 bar stools, but no reading chairs or couches. The "porch" barely fits a small table and two chairs and has a view of busy rt. 20 and the parking lot (if you're lucky to get one of the few spaces there before you have to park in the sketchy, poorly lit, gravel lot behind the "family" cabin). You'd be better off with a hotel room with two queen beds. We walked by a holiday inn that looked much more appealing. On the plus side, with the a/c running all day, the cabin hasn't overheated while we were out, and the WiFi is good (although not secure... they gave us a passcode, but we didn't have to enter it to access the WiFi). There's also DirectTV, not that we're here enough to watch it. The pictures are while sitting at the high top table with my back against the wall. On looks into the bedroom (the bathroom door is out of view to the right). The other looks at the bed in the room with the kitchenette.

• Review of "Yellowstone Inn" at West Yellowstone

  Location is a little far from the main area of west Yellowstone, but only by a few blocks. No convenient if you're walking but with a car it was fine. Very nice and accommodating host. Room was clean, roomie, and was much nicer than I expected! Flat screen with lots of channels, coffee machine, wifi, fridge and microwave, and bathroom was roomy with a good shower. Great deal, would easily recommend!

  Great trail ride. Awesome horses. The staff very nice, though seemed rushed. Trail guide was outstanding, very attentive to the toddler among our group and took very good pictures of our experience.
